How do you pick a carrier?
Price, on-time record on that lane, and a truck on your day. The cheapest rate doesn't win if they're late on the lane, or if they don't have a truck Tuesday.
What happens if a carrier falls through?
I book the next one up, keep your dock time where I can, and tell you after. If the new rate is higher, I tell you why.
Can I keep my own carriers?
Yes. Where I can beat your rate, I let you know. Where I can't, I say so and you keep your carrier on that lane.
Do you work with brokers?
Yes. I book with carriers and brokers, whichever gives your load the best rate and service. Brokers on the network get clear loads and fast pay, the same as carriers.
